Measure what is known.
Name what remains unknown.
Asset Truth & Coverage reconciles declared and observed assets, explains the quality of stored evidence and makes gaps, conflicts and inaccessible segments explicit.
01 · EVIDENCE
An inventory is not automatically ground truth.
Declared records can become stale. Observations can be partial. Sources can conflict. SafeNetis preserves those distinctions so operators can understand both the representation and its limits.
Declared inventory
A record exists without current supporting observation.
Observed evidence
Evidence exists without a reconciled identity.

Preserve agreement, conflicts and areas that remain inaccessible.
No source wins by default. Matching rules and freshness thresholds require validation in the target environment.
02 · EVIDENCE STATES
Classify every asset by the state of its evidence.
- CONFIRMED
- Qualified sources support the same asset identity.
- OBSERVED, UNIDENTIFIED
- Evidence exists without a reconciled identity.
- DECLARED, NOT OBSERVED
- A record exists without current supporting observation.
- UNKNOWN
- Evidence is insufficient to classify the asset.
- INACCESSIBLE
- The relevant segment or source cannot be reached.
- CONFLICTING
- Qualified sources disagree.
- STALE
- Supporting evidence is no longer sufficiently current.
03 · COVERAGE
Visible uncertainty
Confidence reflects provenance, agreement and freshness.
It measures the quality of stored evidence. It is not an absolute probability, a risk level or a certainty claim.

Coverage depends on scope.
Estimated coverage depends on the declared scope and accessible sources.
Unobserved does not mean nonexistent.
An unobserved asset may be offline, inaccessible or incorrectly described. Evidence states can change as new observations become available.
SAFENETIS
Prioritized verification
Teams can focus on unresolved or inaccessible areas.
